COOKIES POLICY

Motorsports Bazaar, LLC (DBA. RaecCar Bazaar, LLC) uses cookies to improve the overall experience for our users.  By using this website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to Motorsports Bazaar’s use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

WHAT ARE COOKIES

Cookies are small HTML files sent by web servers to web browsers and then stored by web browsers.  The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from that server.  This enables and allows the web server to identify and track that web browser.  The two main types of cookies.  The first is a session cookie, which expires and is deleted when you close your browser.  The second is a persistent cookie which remains stored on your computer until deleted, or until it reaches it’s expiration date.

COOKIES/TRACKERS ON OUR WEBSITE

Here is a list of the cookies we use to improve the user experience as well as allow us to understand how you use the website so that we can make improvements over time.

    • Google Analytics
      • Allows us to monitor traffic on our site, so we know what is awesome and what is no good.  We track certain buttons on our site as well as certain links that send you over to RaceCar Bazaar or elsewhere from Banner Ads, (Display Ads) and links to certain articles
      • Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers.  The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store and use this information.  Google’s privacy policy is available here: http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html
      • We do not track any personal information for remarketing purposes at this time.  We care about your time on our site and where you came from.  When you leave, please enjoy the rest of your day and come back soon.
  •  WordPress
    • WordPress, the core system of our website network, has a few cookies build in that are largely for sign in and sign out purposes.  Though there is no registered user functionality on Motorsports Bazaar at this time, if you are registered on RaceCar Bazaar, that account information is also housed on Motorsports Bazaar as we are a network of interlinked sites.  The reason for this is that if we decide to have user functionality on Motorsports Bazaar in the future, we want to have the ability to integrate your existing user profile with what you use on RaceCar Bazaar.
  • Boxzilla
    • Boxzilla is our pop-out message system that shows the Cookie Policy notice as well as the Motorsports Bazaar General Newsletter Signup form on the lower left side.  This cookie allows a functionality so that those boxes disappear and do not reappear every time you go to a new page, or come back to the site and have already told those boxes to get out of your way.  These boxes are set on timers that we believe will not irritate you and get in the way of a good experience on Motorsports Bazaar, however, we will continuously adjust these settings to get things just right.
  • MailChimp
    • MailChimp is our Newsletter program.  The cookie tracks the signup forms so that they work properly whether you are subscribed or unsubscribed.  The forms response will change depending on your status with our respective mailing lists
  • VigLink
    • Viglink is the advertising marketplace we use for linked text within our articles.  An example would be if we decide to write that the “Samsung Galaxy S7” is the most amazing super awesome phone ever created by human or alien; that set of words is linked to places where you can purchase or find out more information on that specific product or service.  This allows us to generate revenue for our writing, which keeps our world operating and providing you with solid content…created by humans.
  • AddThis
    • AddThis are the social sharing buttons you see just below the author and title of each article on our site.
  • Disqus
    • Disqus is our 3rd party hosted commenting system you will see below the articles.  This service allows us to provide an excellent commenting system without being overloaded with moderation.
  • Google Tag Manager
    • Google Tag Manager is a simplified system that links with Google Analytics as well as other 3rd parties if specifically activated by us.  Currently, we use Google Tag Manager to track specific buttons, links and display ads, as mentioned above under Google Analytics
  • Gravatar
    • Gravatar is a WordPress function that is basically your universal WordPress profile including profile pictures.  It is included in all WordPress installations.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

  • As we mentioned in our Accept Cookie Policy box, Ghostery is an excellent little Browser Add-on that allows the user to be aware of, as well as block most all trackers out there.  We use it ourselves however, we are not endorsed by Ghostery or paid to promote the use of their service in any fashion. Feel free to block any and all of our cookies and trackers that show up within that extension.  You can also Whitelist our entire site if you choose, which would allow the services mentioned above to work to their fullest function and help us create a better experience for our users
  • Adjust your Browser Settings to disallow cookies from various sources
  • Disconnect from the world and enjoy the solitude of no internet
